ClashWise

Clash matrix

Build a clash matrix from your models.

Review the rules, create the Navisworks tests and use the same matrix to explore the published clashes.

Start from the work you already have.

A new federation

Scan the source models in Navisworks. Map their class and discipline properties, check the inventory and generate a matrix with Wise. You can also attach an existing matrix.

An existing clash set

Generate a matrix from the properties captured with your published clashes. Select the classes to include and review the proposed rules before using them.

An established standard

Reuse a project matrix or clone a company-library standard. You can also create a matrix manually and develop its rules with the team.

Inspect a pair. Try a different tolerance.

Select Beams × Ducts in the example below. Change the test type or tolerance to see the proposed Navisworks test update. Switch to Clashes to browse the published results.

The illustrative matrix has four search sets, seven rules and 42 published clashes. Three representative clashes include model detail, including #042 in Beams × Ducts.

Find the clashes behind a matrix cell.

Browse by discipline or class. Blue shading shows clash count, not urgency. Select a cell to see its clashes, open an individual result or continue in the filtered list. Your existing search and review filters still apply.

A zero means a defined pair has no clashes in the current view. A dash means there is no rule. Unmapped clashes have their own entry so they remain part of the review.

Open the model review

Keep the matrix useful as the project changes.

Add new classes without losing your edits

After republishing, preview new class pairs and add the ones you need. Normal updates retain existing rules and edits. Exact synchronisation and regeneration are separate actions with their own review.

Review rules with the team

Apply contacts, priorities and statuses across a selected pair, with explicit control over overwriting existing values. Inspect individual rules for due days, tags, notes and tolerances.

Take rule edits through Excel

Export the rules workbook, edit supported fields and import the changes. Blank cells keep existing values. Existing contact templates remain available for pair-based contact assignment.

Keep the matched rule in view

Inspect the matched rule and its recommendations beside a clash. In Navisworks, review rule assignments, overrides and stale-rule indicators, or open the matrix in ClashWise.

Company-library standards are available on Business. Keep a reusable starting point, then clone it for the project.
