What is behind this recommendation?

The matched matrix rule supplies the recommended priority, status and contact. Review its notes alongside the element properties and model context before deciding what to change.

Illustrative analysis. Your matrix defines the available values.

Bring your project standards into the review.

Build a shared matrix from the classes and disciplines in your published models. Your team can inspect the rule behind a recommendation and refine it as the project develops.

Start with the right properties

Map source properties for element classes, disciplines and locations. Consistent inputs make the resulting worklist easier to understand and filter.

Give the matrix a shared starting point

Review class pairs, disciplines, tolerances, notes and default workflow values. Use the free matrix builder to sketch the structure before configuring your project matrix.

Keep the recommendation explainable

See the matched rule and recommended fields on the clash. Ask Wise to explain the clash or help refine the matrix, then review the result with the team.

From published results to reviewed decisions.

Clash detection stays in Navisworks. ClashWise supports the naming, analysis, coordination and reporting that follow.

Follow the Navisworks workflow
  1. Publish your clash results

Run your existing clash tests and publish the results with the ClashWise plug-in. Keep the captured properties with the clash data.

  2. Assign the matrix and run analysis

Use the project matrix to associate clashes with rules and populate recommended fields. Results without a matching rule remain visible for review.

  3. Review the context and make the call

Filter the worklist, inspect both elements and their surroundings, and edit the priority, status, contact or matched rule where needed.

  4. Sync the coordination fields back

Use the plug-in’s explicit sync tools to bring reviewed coordination changes back into Navisworks. Geometry revisions remain in your authoring tools.

Keep the rest of the team in the picture.

A useful recommendation is the start of a conversation. Carry it into the meeting, the project dashboard and the next handoff.

Coordinate together

Review clashes in shared sessions or parallel lanes. Active-session edits are recorded; saved decisions and action items feed the minutes you review.

Better inputs for the matrix

Prepare better data before analysis.

Property Mapping gives ClashWise dependable element identity and discipline data. Group Clashes and Title Update make the result set easier to understand before the matrix applies recommendations to published clashes.

Run and Publish can include grouping and reviewed local titles before it captures the final results for the selected cloud destinations.

See which clashes sit behind each pair.

The results matrix groups your filtered clashes by discipline or class. Select a cell to inspect its results and open the clash details. Unmapped results remain visible for review; count shading does not replace priority.

Questions about AI clash management.

How are clash rules defined?

Configure a clash matrix with class pairs, disciplines, tolerances, notes and workflow defaults. Review the generated matrix and assign it to the published clash set before running analysis.

What if a clash has no matching rule?

It remains available for review without a matrix recommendation. Check the captured classes and discipline mappings, update the matrix where appropriate, or assign the relevant fields manually.

Does AI make the final coordination decision?

Your team remains responsible for the coordination decision. Inspect the recommendation and model context, then review or change the workflow values. An analysis result does not revise model geometry.

How does the Navisworks sync work?

The web app and plug-in communicate over HTTPS. Publish and update results through the plug-in, and use its explicit sync tools for coordination fields. No on-premise ClashWise server is required.

How can the wider project team follow the results?

Use permitted dashboard shares, coordination sessions or exports. Shared views are read-only; session guests use the access granted to them. BCF handoff depends on the receiving tool’s supported features.
